Awards/Recent Acheivements

  • 2010 - Central Coast Alliance for Health - Quality Based Incentive Awards for 2009 for excellent services provided to Salud’s Alliance Medi-Cal Prime patients based on clinical quality scores measured in eight areas including well-child visits, adolescent well-care, monitoring of patients on persistent ACE inhibitors, breast and cervical cancer screening, appropriate use of asthma medications, and diabetes screening. For all CCAH Family Practice physicians rendering service, the highest total points received was 80. The physicians at Salud’s Main Clinic received 70 points. The average total points received by Family Practice physicians system-wide was 36.
  • 2010 - Certificates of Special Congressional and California Assembly Recognition - for outstanding and invaluable service to the community. 
  • 2010 - The Post (Santa Cruz County) Health Care Provider of the Year - Local weekly newspaper chooses Salud as its health care provider of the year 2009.

  • 2007 - Central Coast Alliance for Health - Certificate of Excellence in recognition of outstanding achievement on the 2007 HEDIS Quality Studies for scoring above the 2006 National Medicaid 90th percentile in seven areas.

  • 2004 - Phil Rather Award - The Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust created the Phil Rather Award for Leadership in Health Care in 1999. The award was inspired by its namesake and first recipient, Phil Rather, whose volunteer leadership in health care spanned more than 30 years in the Pajaro Valley. The Rather Award recognizes and honors individuals and/or organizations in the community whose contributions of time, effort or funding have helped make a difference in the quality of our community's health care.
  • 2001 - Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) – Bureau of Primary Care - Award for reducing health disparities and improving care of undeserved persons with diabetes
  • 2000 - Central Coast Alliance for Health Recognition of Excellence Award for achieving the Healthy People 2000 National Goal of 90% Childhood Immunization rates
  • 1999 - United Way - Bronze Award for outstanding service to people in our community
  • 1993 - Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce - Organization of the Year: Outstanding Contribution to the Community
  • 1990 - California Department of Health Services – Public Health Systems Branch - Dedication and Commitment for providing health care to underserved populations
